Platforms: Apple Watch with its paired iPhone
Apple Watch gives you a quick way to capture audio. The recording is sent to iPhone for processing, so the Watch and phone have different jobs.
Make and save a Watch recording
- Open Perspective Transcribe on Apple Watch.
- Select Record. With VoiceOver, the control is called Start recording.
- Check the duration while you record.
- Select Stop recording to save.
- Check the transfer status, then open Perspective Transcribe on the paired iPhone to find the session and review its transcript when processing finishes.
The Watch recording screen has a stop control. The iPhone, iPad, and Mac pause-and-resume instructions do not describe this Watch screen.
If the recording has not reached iPhone
Check the Watch status for saved items waiting to send. Keep the paired devices available and check the iPhone app again. Transfer and transcription are separate stages; a recording waiting to send has not necessarily reached the transcription stage yet.
If it remains stuck, include the exact Watch status and the phone's session status when asking for help. Do not remove the app or discard saved audio while you are trying to recover a recording.
