A report helps you answer a specific question about the work. Decide what you need to know before exporting a large list.
Access depends on your role, project scope, and the report's contents. Some project-limited accounts cannot use the report area, and reports containing submitter email addresses have tighter restrictions.
Run a saved report
- Open Reports in the intended organization.
- Find Saved reports in Report builder.
- Choose the report and select Run.
- Review the returned rows and the filters that produced them.
- Select Export report when results are available.
For inactive work, use Stale items and its type filters, then Export CSV if you need a copy. Old work with recent activity may not appear in an inactivity report.
Save a report as an admin
Choose an appropriate Report builder preset, give it a clear Report name, and review the filters. Choose Manual, Daily, or Weekly delivery and check the recipients before selecting Save.
Scheduled delivery can send report contents to those recipients. Use Manual while checking the output if the recipient list is not settled.
Report on one project
Open the project's Export and Reports tab. In Project reports, authorized admins can create a report, select columns and sorting, and choose Save report. Select the saved report, choose Run report, then use one of the offered download formats.
Choose columns deliberately, especially those containing customer or submitter details. If access is denied, ask the appropriate admin to check the report and your permissions.
Deleting a saved report removes its definition, not the underlying work. Confirm that you selected the report you intended to remove.
For unassigned work, the dashboard's Needs Attention panel is a separate queue. Open an entry to review it, then assign it only if your role permits. It is not the same as running a saved report.
